Brandy "B" Markova's love of cake began at an early age. One of her earliest memories is standing in the kitchen of her grandmother's farmhouse, watching intently as her beloved Mamaw crafted her famous cherry pies on a vintage Formica countertop.

As her passion for baking grew, so did her appetite for learning. She followed her heart to Chicago, where she graduated from the prestigious French Pastry School's L'Art de la Pâtisserie program. She later honed her craft as a pastry chef at one of New Orleans' premier pâtisseries, mastering a wide range of confections before discovering that cake was her true calling.

Today, B creates bespoke cakes that blend technical precision with playful artistry, bringing her signature style to clients seeking something unforgettable- a certain je ne sais quoi.

Her whimsical designs have been featured in magazines, displayed in museums, and enjoyed by an ever-growing list of notable clients, including Missy Elliott, Trey Songz, Chef Jérôme Bocuse, and Chef Thomas Keller of The French Laundry.

B draws inspiration from everywhere: music, historic European architecture, fine art, and even the grocery store aisle. "I love picking up an un-ordinary ingredient and challenging myself to translate it into confections.”

When she's not in the kitchen, B can be found in the Appalachian countryside with her cats, Éclair, and Frankenstein. A hobby potter, tap dancer, and roller skater, she embraces life with the belief that you truly deserve to have your cake and eat it, too.
